De expeditie is nu bijna afgelopen, nog anderhalve dag en het zit erop. De laatste paar dagen hebben we geen spectaculaire ontdekkingen meer gedaan. We gaan er dus vanuit dat we zo stillaan alle Burmanniaceae gevangen hebben. Morgen trekken we er nog een laatste keer op uit richting de savannes van Kourou en woensdag vliegen we dan terug naar huis. De hele expeditie was enorm de moeite waard: we hebben heel veel Burmanniaceae gevonden en ongelofelijk mooie plaatsen bezocht. Dit alles zou onmogelijk geweest zijn zonder de hulp van mijn nonkel Mich, die ik bij deze hartelijk wil bedanken.
